About Liza

Liza Snyder is an artist and art teacher. Born in Mobile, Alabama, and raised in St. Simons Island, Georgia, Liza considered herself an artist at an early age. After studying printmaking and obtaining a BFA from Auburn University in 2001, Liza put down creating for a long season. A friend’s urging and a personal awakening allowed her art to reemerge. Today, her artwork is reflective of the beauty and wonder surrounding her home and studio. Liza’s hope is that her creations invite the viewer to both joy and contemplation.

Liza is in her studio most days creating and "playing." She loves to explore new art mediums, and remains open-minded and curious. Liza also enjoys teaching and journeying with others through their creative endeavors. Children's art camps, lessons and women's workshops and retreats allow Liza to share her love of making. Life with her husband and three kids is colorful and chaotic, and her personal works express this. The artist's home and studio are located on the Choctawhatchee Bay, just north of Scenic Highway 30-A in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
