This retreat will ignite your own creativity and nurture you in unforgettable ways.

Our week together will be full of exploring the Provençal countryside and its charming villages. Our art workshops and adventures during this retreat will be full of wonder and freedom. We'll take our creative cues from the natural abundance the Luberon offers. Guests will be exploring mixed media practices inside travel art journals. We'll also be creating with a local artist in her studio as a special treat. We hope guests will come home from this intimate gathering with a new perspective and sparks of inspiration.

Your Hosts:

Liza Snyder grew up in both Mobile, Alabama, and St. Simons Island, Georgia. Liza considered herself an artist at any early age (like so many!), and today considers herself an "Art Explorer." She is a practicing artist, teacher, and maker.

Liza received a BFA in Printmaking at Auburn University, and continued her creative journey over the next few years restoring historic homes in Birmingham, Alabama. In time, she began painting and creating visual art again after a sort of spiritual-awakening (and the encouragement of a fellow artist friend).

Today, Liza relishes her time at home and in her art studio in Point Washington, Florida - a little neighborhood on the Choctawhatchee Bay just five miles north of Scenic Highway 30-A. Home includes two cats, a naughty dog, a great husband, and three kids (growing too fast).

Her studio time is balanced between exploring art mediums - including painting, mixed media, cyanotypes, natural dyes, and printmaking - and sharing inspiration with kids and women through online and in-person art workshops.

Liza's most favorite thing in the whole world is to connect with others in an authentic way. She believes in beauty in the imperfect. She’s looking forward to hosting guests again in Provence during this Sacred Space Creative Retreat.

Claire Jaggers is a mental health therapist based in Memphis, TN. She incorporates art as a healing tool in her work and considers herself a “student of beauty” both in her day-to-day life and with people and their stories. Claire is not a trained artist, but finds joy in repurposing items and giving ordinary things a second life.  She has dabbled in many art forms, but found that she is best at the art of listening. She believes that beauty resides in unlikely places, and that includes the messiness of our lives.

Claire received a degree in Journalism from Samford University, followed by a masters degree in Social Work from Union University. She believes that nobody is without creativity, and creativity is refined in times of suffering.

Some of Claire’s interests include: thrifting, baking and cooking, watercoloring, shopping for vintage clothing, and writing. This will be her third year visiting France alongside Liza, and it keeps on getting better! Her lifestyle, pace, and design concept have been greatly impacted by the inspiration of France. You might even say she’s a bit of a Francophile! She is eager to see how this trip allows her life path to intersect with women looking for soul nourishment or a creative reset.

We hope you'll join us soon!
